​READY TO RENT WORKSHOP 

Join us for a free Ready to Rent workshop designed to empower individuals and
whanau with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to successfully overcome
common barriers in finding and maintaining a rental home – in social housing and
private rental market.

You can expect two days of valuable lessons, education, information, and guidance
to obtain rental property and maintain tenancy. The two-day workshop will be
covering various topics including:

• Rights and responsibilities of tenants and landlords

• Ministry of Social Development (MSD) products and services

• Healthy, warm, and dry home

• Personal presentation at rental viewings and interviews

• Managing your money & budgeting advice and support

• What landlords and property managers are looking for

• What makes a desirable tenant?​

Upon completion of the two-day workshop, participants will receive helpful
resources, and a Certificate of Completion to include in future rental applications.

Morning Tea & Lunch will be provided.

The Ready to Rent workshop will be hosted by Bream Bay Trust Housing Support in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) Housing, and will be facilitated by Chris Heyes, MSD Regional Housing Advisor.
