Lusia Jones
Housing Navigator
With a Pasifika–New Zealand background and more than 15 years of experience in
business, leadership, and community-focused roles across Aotearoa and abroad, I
bring a people-first and purpose-driven approach to my role as a Housing Navigator.
I am committed to supporting individuals and whanau with genuine care, respect,
and a focus on walking alongside them as they work towards safe, secure, and
sustainable housing.
My approach centers on meeting people where they are. I work closely with those
facing a range of barriers to rental housing opportunities - providing practical,
person‑centred guidance and wraparound support to help make their housing
journey clearer and less overwhelming. While our service is not a housing agency or
rental provider, our team collaborates closely with local accommodation partners,
government agencies, and community organisations to identify the most suitable
options for each person’s unique needs.
Prior to this role, I contributed to the well-being of our wider Bream Bay community
as an Employment Consultant, helping individuals build confidence, develop
work‑readiness, and connect with meaningful employment opportunities. I am
continually inspired by the values and mahi of the Trust, and by the strength and
resilience of the people we serve.
Outside of work, I enjoy life on our lifestyle property - growing kai, caring for animals,
and spending time with my family in the peace of country living.
